About St. Mary's NS

St.Mary’s National School is the oldest school in Tallaght. The first school building dates back to 1833.  The original site was beside St.Basil’s Training Centre and at that time was the only building on the Greenhills Road. This building was single story, approximately 60ft. by 16ft. with two classrooms, one for boys and one for girls.  Our present building was built in 1960 with a new section added in 1976. St. Mary’s N.S is a Catholic co –educational primary school with approximately 350 boys and girls from four plus to twelve years of age.

Enrolment for junior infants 2021/22 takes from November 2nd-20th 2020. Please complete the form below and return to the school during this time.

We offer a variety of different after school sports and school teams as well as having a broad and balanced physical education curriculum.

We challenge children reach their highest potential in languages, Maths and SESE.

Music & Art

Our music and art curriculum is designed to help develop creative minds in our children. We offer tin whistle, tradition band and choir in school, as well as after school art and creativity lessons.
